Welsh is spoken by around 20% of the population in Wales, and thousands of people continue to learn Welsh as adults. 

This book introduces you to the essential vocabulary and main grammatical areas of Welsh, providing you with an hour of study per day for twelve weeks, although you should only do as much as you feel capable of doing - It is better to learn a little at a time, than to rush through the material.

There are exercises for you to put what you have learned into practice, leaving you to decide whether you are ready to proceed onto the next section. The answers to all the exercises can be found at the end of the book. When you have completed the course, you should have a good understanding of Welsh, it is always a good idea to continue to expand your vocabulary through reading Welsh, listening to Welsh radio programmes and watching Welsh television programmes, many of these are produced specifically for Welsh learners.  Also, at the back of the book, there is a Welsh-English mini dictionary.
