This book is dedicated to the life and work of painter Curnow Vosper (1866-1942), a talented Edwardian artist.  It is carefully researched and traces the artist’s life, showing wit and compassion, with stories behind his pictures - an artist who is best known for his iconic painting 'Salem', showing Siân Owen entering the small chapel of Salem, near Llanbedr.

The volume is illustrated with approximatley 150 of his paintings, lithographs and drawings which span his whole career. The paintings have been selected from both public and private collections and relate to his life growing up in Devon, some wonderful cartoons and sketches from his days in Brittany and Wales, and exhibiting at The Royal Watercolour Society and Royal Academy in London.

An essential book for any art lover.  Curnow Vosper's iconic 'Salem' work is on display at the National Library of Wales.
