'Y Llyfr' by Pegi Talfryn

This novel is part of the 'Amdani' series for Welsh learners (Foundation level).  

Emma's life changes completely when she comes across an old book in her mother's home in Newcastle upon Tyne. This strange book leads her on a journey to Wales - a country her mother never wants to hear about again!  This is a mystery novel about a young girl who comes to Wales to start her journey learning the Welsh language, learning new cultures and finding out secrets about her mother's family - a Welsh native who has abandoned the country years ago. 

The 'Amdani' Series are a series of books for adults learning Welsh. The books are at four levels - Entry, Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced.
